Welcome to inputmatters!

I have been using comprehensible input teaching strategies since the year 2000 in Spanish levels 1-AP. Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling® (TPRStorytelling®) is a method that was created by Blaine Ray and the main method that I use in my classroom teaching.

Comprehensible input-based classrooms focus on providing varied, interesting, repetitive, compelling, comprehensible input for students. This means that the learner understands the message in the target language which is then repeated enough times in an interesting and personalized way to allow acquisition to take place.

To find out more read Blaine Ray’s book Fluency through TPRStorytelling® for a complete description of the method and the theory & research behind it. Available at http://www.blaineraytprs.com along with other TPRStorytelling® resources.
